What's the best dog food?

If you read social media group chats, and you want to get an argument started, ask what the best dog food is. You'll get a list of several dog foods that people think are the best. Now certainly, dogs respond to different foods differently. Some have allergies. Some need more protein, fat, or calories.

I think you'll see Purina Pro Plan the most, followed by a scattering of others. One that is picking up in popularity that I keep hearing chatter about is Inukshuk. This Canadian brand is really becoming popular, and I've started my dogs on it. I heard about it recently from a breeder in south Georgia. So, I took the advice of a breeder in north Alabama who is a retired chemist and who has studied different dog foods. He advises to mix Inukshuk, which you can find a version of that is high in both protein and fat (32/32), with another brand of dog food.
